The third meeting with the Country Advisory Group (CAG) of Tanzania took place on June 13th in Dar es Salaam. The CAG members discussed with project members the research progress, providing valuable feedback on the preliminary results presented. The project updates were followed by a fruitful discussion about the current governance challenges faced by the Tanzanian health system.
CAG members include representatives from: Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC); Non-governmental Organizations (SIKIKA); Policy Research Institutions (ESRF); Health Research Institute (IHI); Social security regulatory authority (SSRA); National health insurance fund (NHIF); International organizations (UNICEF); President Office Regional Administration and Local Government (Po-RALG); and donor funded projects (HPSS).
The CAG is meant to advise the project, ensure relevance of the research activities and connect the project with the policy making processes.
